ContinuityUpdated August 25, 2026
What happens if I stop using Xiara and come back later?
Short answer
Your conversation history stays with your account, and the long-term memories you chose to keep remain available. Returning should feel like continuing a thread, not meeting a new product.
Return is part of the design
Most software optimizes the first session. A companion has a different test: what does the fiftieth conversation feel like, and what survives when there is a gap between them?
That makes continuity across time a core behavior rather than a convenience.
You should not have to reconstruct yourself
When you come back to Xiara, your history and approved memories provide context for the next conversation. You can still edit or remove memories that no longer fit.
The goal is continuity without pretending that nothing changed while you were away.
